You need to enrol in the HLTAID012 Provide an emergency first aid response in education and care setting course. If you are working with children in Geelong, you are also be required to obtain first aid training qualifications in Asthma and Anaphylaxis. HLTHPS006 builds medication-awareness for support workers—learn safe handling, storage, administration guidelines, risks and responsibilities when assisting clients in care settings. HLTAID012 Childcare First Aid equips educators with emergency response skills for education and care settings, including CPR, infant CPR, AED use and first aid.
