For 3-year-old kindergarten, your child must turn 3 years by 30th April in the year they are attending. Our families enjoy coming together on the many special occasions that we host, such as annual end-of-year celebrations, Kinder Graduation Evening and Grandparent or Special Person Days. We also host a number of different fun days throughout the year such as pajama day, footy day, St Patrick's Day, and World Environment Day.
By fostering this inquisitive mindset, we help them develop critical thinking skills and a deeper understanding of the world around them. The children loved this experience, as well as exploring various library resources during the excursion. Recently Pakenham’s Woodland kinder room participated in letter recognition. The children used some recycled small boxes and were encouraged to make the letter “T”. This promoted literacy skills, learning through play, as well as sustainability. Estimated out-of-pocket costs are based on an average Child Care Subsidy (CCS) entitlement of 70% and 100 hours of subsidised care per fortnight. I also bring experience in Youth Work,  Event management and Hospitality management, which has strengthened my leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Your child will be able to freely explore our outdoor play areas and build on their own interests in both self-directed play and in groups.
Our centre chefs prepare a nutritious menu for your child to sit down and eat. Educators model healthy eating practices, social behaviours and support children’s growing independence with mealtime routines. For integrated kindergarten programs (where kinder is a part of long day care), Free Kinder will appear as a weekly credit of $50.00 on your YMCA account statement. We deduct this credit from your fees, so you'll only need to pay for the cost of day care. To support our families, we offer both permanent and casual enrolment options.
To meet the daily needs of all the children in our services, we provide children with all amenities from nappies through to sunscreen whilst in attendance. With onsite kitchens each service provides healthy and delicious meals that support children’s daily dietary requirements. Touring the centre allows you to experience the environment firsthand and determine if it’s the perfect fit for your child.

From the moment you book a tour with us through to enrolment and your child’s first day, we aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment. We offer a rotating seasonal menu, providing breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack freshly made daily. Our families provide feedback on our centre menu and we create the menu around their voices.
Goodstart’s kindergarten programs is designed to prepare your child for future success in schooling and life. Created in accordance with the government-approved Early Years Learning Framework, our curriculum teaches vital skills.
