Works are also underway to rebuild Ashwood Memorial Kindergarten in Ashwood. A new kindergarten is planned to run at the building in 2025, with Council working to appoint a service provider. The new hub is currently the base for Ward Avenue Kindergarten's programs while their kindergarten facility in Oakleigh South undergoes construction throughout 2024. It is the third of four child and family hubs to be built in the City of Monash, following the two award-winning facilities at Wellington Child and Family Hub (completed in 2022) and Pinewood Child and Family Hub (2023). We regularly invite parents and grandparents into the centre for show-and-tell, as we value building community and connection and sharing our family's stories.
