Pakenham Childcare & Day Care Early Learning

We have clear and easy to follow parent and guardian information that covers everything you need to know, from our arrivals and departures policy to sun smart policy and more. Every effort is made to establish a healthy and happy environment, where each child is welcome, included, and part of the play and learning. At our Pakenham centre, we provide high-quality early education and care in a nurturing and welcoming environment. I have worked in the Early Childhood Education and Care sector for over ten years. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of working across a wide range of roles—including Educator, Kindergarten Teacher, Educational Leader, Assistant Director, and now Centre Director. Each of these roles has shaped my professional journey and deepened my commitment to delivering high-quality care and education for all children.
Through reflective practice and collaboration, I aim to inspire high-quality teaching that supports children to become confident, capable learners. Our child day care facility offers a variety of education programs for toddler and pre-school kids that will meet the academic and developmental needs of your child. We personalize your early education programs that would stimulate the physical, intellectual, creative daycare centre near pakenham and social development of the children whilst preparing them for big school.

As part of the Story House Early Learning STRONG Beginnings curriculum, we believe learning continues beyond the classroom. That’s why we offer thoughtfully designed take-home resources for families, supporting each child’s development through fun, engaging activities. Our program builds life skills through daily routines that promote problem-solving, communication, independence, and teamwork. With a  strong focus on mental and physical wellbeing, children engage in mindfulness, healthy eating, and active play.
In our kindergarten room, our curriculum is tailored to accommodate your child’s individual learning and development needs, which helps boost their enthusiasm, motivation, and willingness to learn. The Inspire Bentleigh West Incursions & Excursions Program enriches each child’s learning through real-world experiences that build confidence, independence, and curiosity. Designed to complement our Montessori-inspired curriculum, the program connects children with their local community, nature, culture, and hands-on opportunities that extend learning beyond the classroom. Families choose Inspire Bentleigh West for engaging, safe, and meaningful excursions and in-centre experiences that support every child’s growth, wellbeing, and sense of belonging. Our experienced and caring educators ensure every child feels seen, heard, and valued.
Through ongoing communication, feedback forms, and regular meetings, we ensure each child’s strengths and challenges are understood and supported. We create a sense of belonging for your child, ensuring they feel heard and empowered to make choices, fostering their independence. Families eligible for the Child Care Subsidy can now access a minimum of 3 days per week of subsidised early learning and care. It’s the perfect time to discover a place where your child can learn, grow and belong. I’m truly glad I chose this Montessori centre for his learning and growth. We really appreciate the regular feedback you provide at pick-up and your prompt communication whenever needed.

Play is crucial to your baby’s cognitive development as they develop the ability to think, understand and communicate. Your child explores through play by experimenting, creating, and thinking. Playing with your toddler builds the relationship with your child, by supporting them and providing them with a safe space to explore and learn. Imaginative play provides children opportunities to learn how to play and work with other children, discuss ideas, and make decisions. They take the time to get to know every family, ensure the staff feel supported, and create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy, and excited to learn.
At Story House, we care about every person and their individual journey because it takes a committed, diverse and passionate team to nurture each child’s unique story. My name is Katherine, and I’m proud to be the Centre Manager at Eden Academy Pakenham. With 12 years of experience in Early Education and as a parent myself, I understand the importance of creating a home away from home where families feel supported and children thrive. Architecturally designed spaces, transformed by talented interior designers, create learning environments on Army Road that are as beautiful as they are purposeful.
The Early Years Learning Framework has a strong emphasis on play-based learning. At Little Stars Pakenham, we recognize the importance of communication and language (including early literacy and numeracy) and social and emotional development. Every child’s journey is overseen by accredited, friendly, caring, and attentive educators. Our carers foster inclusivity and create a space where each child can learn, play, develop, and participate in a way that reflects their unique strengths and interests.

We find the multicultural aspect of the centre to be very  helpful to our mixed race child. Our centres have an ‘open door policy’ and discounted rates for full-time enrolments. Immerse yourself into what a day at our service could look like for you and your family.
For children with additional needs or behaviours of concern, we collaborate with inclusion support professionals, allied health teams, and our Kindergarten Improvement Advisor. These partnerships help us apply for additional support, develop strategies, and create inclusive, nurturing environments where all children can thrive. Our sustainability program promotes environmental awareness and responsibility among the children through hands-on experiences with our veggie garden and worm farm. Our Pakenham centre is equipped with 98 solar panels, significantly reducing our carbon footprint and teaching children the importance of renewable energy. Little minds can find starting a new holiday camp scary and daunting.
